Introduction to the Diplom-Studiengang Wirtschaftsmathematik

The Diplomprüfung is the final examination, which consists of a written thesis (Diplomarbeit) and oral exams in mathematics, computer science, and economics.

Evaluation and Grading

The evaluation and grading of the Diplomprüfung are based on the performance in the written thesis and the oral exams. The grades are awarded according to the following scale:

• Sehr gut (1,0) - excellent
• Gut (2,0) - good
• Befriedigend (3,0) - satisfactory
• Ausreichend (4,0) - sufficient
• Nicht ausreichend (5,0) - insufficient

Academic Degree

Upon successful completion of the Diplomprüfung, students are awarded the academic degree "Diplom-Wirtschaftsmathematiker Univ." or "Diplom-Wirtschaftsmathematikerin Univ." (Diploma in Business Mathematics).
