Maksilofacialna Kirurgija s Temelji Dentalne Medicine

Objectives

The objective of this course is to introduce students to diseases of the facial skeleton and facial soft tissue structures, as well as diseases of the oral cavity, including basic dental and periodontal diseases. During the exercises, students will learn about oromaxillofacial examination, basic differential diagnosis, and first aid.


Content

The course covers the specifics of facial and oral cavity anatomy, connecting them with congenital anomalies, injuries, infections, tumors, degenerative diseases, and acquired anomalies of the face. It also includes pre-prosthetic treatment needs, temporomandibular joint diseases, and tooth and periodontal tissue-conditioned pathology. Students will learn about the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical pictures, diagnosis, and maxillofacial and interdisciplinary treatment of these diseases.
