Optometry and Vision Science Program

The Optometry and Vision Science program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the only optometry course in Queensland. Students will train in a purpose-built optometry clinic and benefit from globally recognised, cutting-edge research.

Program Details

• The program provides students with the opportunity to participate in a variety of local and international placements, including services for people experiencing disadvantage or who have limited access to eye care.
• The Bachelor of Vision Science is the only optometry training program available in Queensland.
• Students will care for real patients in the QUT Optometry Clinic.
• Complete training placements are available in Australia or overseas.
