Mandatory Work Placements
All engineering students are required to complete 450 hours of work placements as part of their course requirements.
Work Placement Requirements
- Architecture, Landscape and Interior: 15 days (100 hours)
- Construction, Quantity Surveying, Urban Planning: 30 days (225 hours)
- Engineering: 60 days (450 hours)
Industry Research Projects
All final-year engineering honours students and master's students are required to complete a research project.
Research Project Requirements
- The project is initially outlined by a project supervisor
- The project is further developed in collaboration with a QUT academic supervisor and the student(s)
- Students must present their findings and submit a final report for assessment
