The Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Urban and Regional Planning) is a four-year full-time or eight-year part-time course that equips students with the skills to design and manage the use of land and natural resources to meet societal and environmental needs in a sustainable way.
Course Overview
This course is accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of urban and regional planning principles, practices, and techniques. Students will learn to apply their knowledge in practical ways, especially when navigating the complexities of stakeholder priorities, development goals, and the broader environmental, economic, and social impacts of the built environment.

Course Structure
The course consists of 384 credit points, with a combination of core units, electives, and a research project. Students will complete 30 days (equivalent to 225 hours) of approved urban and regional planning work experience as part of their Work Integrated Learning core unit.
