Traineeship for Graduates

Basic Information

The Traineeship for Graduates is a practical traineeship that entails working for a foreign institution with a minimum of 40 hours per week. It is realized in cooperation with the EDUCA consortium. This traineeship can only be undertaken after graduation, but applications must be submitted while the student is still studying. The traineeship must be completed no more than 12 months after graduation.


  • The minimum duration is 2 months, and the maximum duration varies according to the conditions set by the EDUCA consortium, currently set at 3 months, depending on the use of the allocated grant.
  • This opportunity enables fresh graduates to obtain a scholarship, even after losing their student status.
  • Time spent on a traineeship for graduates counts towards the maximum permitted total mobility length of 12 months per study cycle.

How to Apply

  1. Follow the website of your faculty and basic unit to find out when and under what conditions the selection procedure takes place.
  2. Choose the foreign institution at which you would like to spend your stay.
  • Search for opportunities according to your preferences and individual requirements among foreign hospitals, laboratories, research centers, EU institutions, cultural centers, etc.
  • Choose from the offer of the EDUCA consortium.
  1. Fill out the application form.
  2. Send the completed application to the relevant department.
  3. Fill in a Learning Agreement for Traineeship, which must correspond to your curriculum at Charles University, and have it confirmed by the Erasmus+ coordinator at your faculty and European Office.
  4. Wait until you receive further information about the required administrative procedure.

Educa Mobility Funding

The EDUCA consortium provides funding for the traineeship. The details of the funding, including the amount and duration, are determined by the consortium.


Eligibility

  • The traineeship is available for graduates who have completed their studies at Charles University.
  • The application must be submitted while the student is still studying.
  • The traineeship must be completed no more than 12 months after graduation.

Learning Agreement

A Learning Agreement for Traineeship must be filled out and confirmed by the Erasmus+ coordinator at the faculty and European Office. The agreement must correspond to the graduate's curriculum at Charles University.


Administrative Procedure

After the application is approved, the graduate will receive further information about the required administrative procedure, including ERAPO travel insurance, Learning Agreement, Participation Agreement, and scholarship payment.
