Program Overview

The Základy digital humanities program is scheduled to take place from February 17, 2026, to May 25, 2026, with registration open until January 18, 2026. The program is offered by the Ústav lingvistiky and is designed to develop competencies in the field of digital humanities.

Program Description

The program provides a basic overview of digital humanities and is open to both beginners and advanced participants. It is available to students from the general public, as part of the Celoivotního vzdlávání program, as well as to students of the University. The program is practically oriented towards professions in non-teaching pedagogy and media and communication studies, but is suitable for all professions that involve working with digital texts, digitalization of texts, their analysis, and processing.

The program is intended for individuals from various professions, including:

• Archivists
• Journalists and press spokespersons
• Editors
• IT professionals
• Data analysts
• Other professions that involve working with digital texts

Admission Criteria

The program is open to individuals who have completed secondary education with a maturity exam (EQF 4).

The quality of the program is ensured by the Rada pro vnitní hodnocení UK as part of the internal quality assurance process for micro-credentials at the University.
