Introduction to the R Programming Language Course

The Center for Open Science Support is organizing a meeting for introduction to working with the R programming language. R is one of the most popular tools in the scientific community for data analysis, visualization, creation of statistical conclusions, and overall work with tabular data. While there are many online and printed materials available for those interested in working with R, thorough training with an instructor is the best foundation, especially for complete beginners in programming and scripting languages.

Course Details

  • The meeting will be held in person at the Central Library.
  • Three terms are scheduled, each with a capacity of 10 participants. If there is high interest, additional terms will be announced.
  • The course will cover the basics of working with R in the RStudio program interface, including:
    • Loading data
    • Checking and editing data
    • Performing indexing and saving/exporting data in a final form suitable for further analysis

About the Course Organizer
