The Husitska Teologicka Fakulta (Husite Theological Faculty) at Univerzita Karlova (Charles University) offers various programs for students and academics.
Erasmus+ Short-Term PhD Mobility
The Erasmus+ program provides an opportunity for PhD students to participate in short-term mobility at partner universities. The mobility period can range from 5 to 30 days.
- Eligibility: All PhD students at HTF UK who have not exhausted their maximum mobility period (12 months) are eligible to apply.
- Application process: Students must submit their applications through the online application system, along with required documents, including a motivation letter and a consent form from their dissertation supervisor.
- Selection process: A selection committee will review the applications and conduct personal interviews with the applicants in the language of the host university.
- Stipend: Successful applicants will receive a stipend for the entire mobility period.
Requirements for Application
To apply for the Erasmus+ short-term PhD mobility, students must submit the following documents:
- Motivation letter in Czech or English, specifying the host university and the planned mobility period
- Consent form from the dissertation supervisor
Procedure Before Mobility
Before the mobility period, students must:
- Submit their application through the online system
- Fill in all required information in the online application
- Obtain a Learning Agreement, which must be signed by all parties, including the dean of the faculty
- Obtain an acceptance letter from the host university
- Receive a decision from the dean regarding the stipend allocation
- Sign a participation agreement, which will be prepared by the European Office at the rectorate
Procedure After Mobility
After the mobility period, students must:
A. Confirmation of Study/Trainee Period
- Obtain a confirmation of the study/trainee period from the host university
- Submit the confirmation to the European Office within 10 days of their return
B. Evaluation of the Stay
- Write a report on their mobility experience (1 page A4) or complete a Traineeship Certificate
C. Electronic Final Report
- Complete an EU Survey (automatically generated email from the European Commission)
- Complete a Charles Abroad report
Offer of Monthly Stipends for Doctoral Students and Academics
The faculty offers monthly stipends for doctoral students and academics at partner universities in 2025. The stipends are available for:
- Universität zu Köln: 2-3 monthly stipends for doctoral students (1,200/month) and 1 monthly stipend for academics (2,000/month)
- Universität Hamburg: 9 monthly stipends for doctoral students (1,300/month) and 6 monthly stipends for academics (2,000/month)
- Universität Heidelberg: 1 monthly stipend for doctoral students (1,300/month)
- Universität Bonn: 1 monthly stipend for doctoral students (1,200/month) and 1 monthly stipend for academics (2,000/month)
- Universität Regensburg: 1 monthly stipend for doctoral students (1,300/month) or post-doctoral researchers (2,000/month)
Required Documents for Application
To apply for the monthly stipends, doctoral students must submit:
- Academic Visitor Application
- Structured CV
- Preliminary acceptance letter from a professor at the partner university
- Detailed description of the research project in German or English
- Study average from previous studies
Academics must submit:
