Course Description

The AP Calculus BC series, which is the equivalent of a first- and second-semester college-level calculus courses, provides students with a head start in college mathematics and opens doors of opportunity in engineering, physics, astronomy, economics, cryptography, and many other careers. Students will learn about topics such as limits, derivatives, and integrals. This is the first course in a two-part series that prepares students to take the AP Calculus BC exam.

  • Students will need a graphing calculator for this course; we recommend the TI-84 Plus.
  • The BYU Independent Study course has a separate must-pass final exam that students are required to take in order to earn course credit.
