Course Overview
The First-Year ASL, Part 2 course is designed for high school and middle school students. This course is the second part of a four-part American Sign Language series, which aligns with ACTFL and ASLTA standards.
Course Description
In this course, students will learn to understand and sign American Sign Language through practice, self-assessment, modeled conversations, and graded video activities. They will also build their social awareness to act and communicate appropriately with the Deaf community. Students will learn American Sign Language that is used in daily life, such as listing items, ordering at a restaurant, and getting help at a store.
