Student Life
As a Master's student in Digital Culture, the base will be at the HF building on the university campus in the centre of Bergen. Students will have their own reading room space, work side by side with other Master's students at the institute, and become part of a lively, international environment. In a normal week, students attend one to two lectures and spend the rest of the time on self-study. Usually, all classroom activities and assignments are compulsory, in addition to seminars and individual guidance. The teaching is research-based, meaning that the methods, themes, and subjects taught are selected in accordance with relevant, new research at the institute.
Study Abroad
Students can go on an exchange stay for one semester, which provides valuable cultural experience, linguistic training, new professional insights, and experiences for life. The university recommends a stay at one of the partner universities in the NORDPLUS Nordic Digital Culture Network or at other recommended partner universities.
Further Studies
With a Master's degree, students can qualify for further research work, such as taking a PhD in Digital Culture.
