Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit (BQT III)
The Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit III (BQT III), or the professionally qualifying activity, is part of the second year of study. It aims to deepen practical competencies in psychotherapeutic care as per the Approbationsordnung (Psychotherapist Approval Regulation).
Ziele
The objectives of BQT III include:
- Enhancing practical skills in psychotherapeutic settings.
- Applying knowledge gained during the first year of study in real treatment settings and direct contact with patients.
Voraussetzungen
Prerequisites for BQT III include:
- Successful completion of specific modules, such as advanced psychological diagnostics and assessment, and special disorder and procedure teachings of psychotherapy.
- Evidence of contact with patients, including measles vaccination and an extended police certificate.
Aufbau und Organisation
BQT III is divided into two sections:
- BQT III Ambulant: 150 hours, focusing on outpatient care.
- BQT III (Teil)Stationär: 450 hours, focusing on (partly) inpatient care. The start of each section depends on the BQT III practical training group assigned at the end of the first semester.
Psychotherapeutische Prüfung (Approbation)
After completing the master's study, students who wish to become psychotherapists should take the psychotherapeutic approval examination. This examination consists of a oral-practical case examination and an application-oriented parcours examination, offered twice a year.

- Sending anonymized case analyses to the responsible authority.
Was Sie tun und wissen sollten
Students should:
- Submit four anonymized case analyses for the approval examination by specific deadlines (July 15 for the fall examination and January 15 for the spring examination).
- Ensure strict anonymization of cases.
- Submit the case analyses electronically and in print to the psychology examination office.
- The submitted case analyses and logbook become part of the examination records.
