- CORE SKILLS 1 - DANCE, MOVEMENT AND VOICE: Continues to develop core skills of dance, movement, and voice.
- CORE SKILLS 2 - SINGING, MUSIC AND DIGITAL MEDIA: Further develops singing and music skills and explores a broader range of skills in creating digital media.
- THE ACTOR-MUSICIAN AND REHEARSAL: Allows students to build on their development of acting and integration of a broader set of skills through rehearsal projects.
- PROFESSIONAL FORMATION: Develops students' knowledge, skills, and insights to navigate the professional landscape of the creative industries.
Year 3 - BA (Hons)
- Semester 1 & 2: Compulsory modules include:
- ADVANCED SKILLS: Prepares students for public productions and industry-facing auditions by continuing to develop skills in dance, movement, singing, and voice.
- PERFORMANCE: Centers around three public productions, demonstrating integrated skills as an actor-musician.
- PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT: Prepares students for the professional world through industry-facing activities, including preparation of self-tapes, audition material, and a showcase.
Teaching and Learning
The course is primarily vocational, with a busy timetable of rehearsals, workshops, lectures, performances, and seminars. Students are also assigned a personal year tutor for support.
Assessment
All modules are made up of continuous assessment of progress in class and performances of work. Written work is assessed through a reflective journal of practice in the first and second years and a research project in the third year.
