Design Your Home Class

About this class

"Design Your Home" course would walk participants through planning rooms and furniture layouts, creating mood boards and color schemes, and selecting furniture and finishes for their own homes to best suit their taste and needs.

Class Outline

• Creating functional furniture layouts with good circulation flow.
• Defining mood and style, and selecting the best style(s) for the homeowner to create a mood board.
• Developing color schemes and mixing colors to understand the effects they will have on the family's mood.
• Selecting finishes and furniture, including style and color, to align with the mood board and color scheme.

Materials needed

Participants are required to bring their home plans, or at minimum, the plan or measurements of one room in their home that they wish to design.

• Nada Hamad – Interior Designer/Entrepreneur Graduating from the renowned Virginia Commonwealth University, school of the arts in Qatar in 2009 with a fine art degree in interior design; Nada ventured into the world of high-end commercial and hospitality fit out design and project management.
