SoundLab: Intro to Sound Design and Crafting

Class Outline

This course offers a dynamic blend of theory and hands-on practice, allowing students to explore the intersection of sound and kinetic imaging.

Class Objectives

• Develop a strong grasp of sound theory and vocabulary.
• Gain proficiency in Ableton Live, a cutting-edge digital audio workstation.
• Familiarize yourself with a range of audio equipment.
• Explore the art of sound design.
• Learn to synchronize sound with visuals.
• Acquire foundational skills in music theory, composition, and arrangement.
• Develop the ability to perform live soundscapes.
• Hone your skills in editing and post-production techniques.
• Build a robust portfolio and include sound design projects.
