Program Overview
Physics and Technology
The Master's program in Physics and Technology at Aalborg University combines the science of engineering with physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, and mathematics to create new materials with new properties, improve products, and develop innovative solutions.
Specialization in Nanobiotechnology
This specialization focuses on developing new materials and products using nanotechnology, working with inorganic, organic, and biological materials to develop small structures, new chemical, biological, and medical sensors, using DNA as a material, and designing new proteins and enzymes that cannot be found in nature.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to this program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nanotechnology, physics, or biotechnology. The program requires a strong foundation in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.
- Physics: around 10 ECTS, covering mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, and spectroscopy
- Chemistry: around 20 ECTS, covering inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, as well as biochemistry
- Mathematics: around 5 ECTS, covering calculus
- Biology/Biotechnology: around 5 ECTS, covering microbiology, cellular systems, and molecular biology
Curriculum
The program curriculum includes courses in nanotechnology, biotechnology, and materials science, as well as project work and lab exercises. Students will work on developing new materials and products using nanotechnology and will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as nanobiotechnology or materials science.
Restricted Admission
