Construction and Construction

Civil Engineering is a 3-year bachelor's degree at Aalborg University, where you learn to design houses, roads, water supplies and buildings. You work with sustainability and project management, and you gain access to a career as a civil engineer.

The structure of the education

The education consists of project work, lectures and exercises where you study topics such as material selection, energy consumption and construction. You work with challenges from the real world, and this makes the teaching relevant and applicable.

Academic content

In the 1st semester, you learn how to work with a project and how you can systematically analyze and solve problems. You are introduced to the construction sector with professional supervisors from the superstructure lines and tasks from real construction projects.

Specialization

In the 5th and 6th semesters, you choose your specialisation. You can choose between the following specializations:

• Indoor climate and Energy
• Water and Environment
• Roads and Sustainability

Entry requirements and admission

To be admitted to the programme, you must meet the following entry requirements:

• Passed the entrance exam
• English B
• Mathematics A with a minimum average of 4.0
• Danish A
• Physics B and Chemistry C
• Physics B and Biotechnology A
• Chemistry C and Geoscience A
