Program Overview
Health technology
Health technology is an engineering degree that gives you unique skills to collaborate with doctors and other healthcare personnel, develop and introduce new technology in hospitals and research new methods that can improve diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The structure of the education
The training consists of both theory and practice, and it gives you a clear understanding of how a technology works while also being able to answer why.
You will:
- Investigate new technologies and understand the process from research results to clinical practice, e.g. in a hospital organization
- Measure, calculate and interpret biological signals in relation to concrete, electrophysiological problems
- Understand, develop and use sensors, signal processing and software
- Designing information systems
- Have teaching on hospital wards
- Learn how technology is used in clinical practice
Entry requirements and admission
Entry requirements:
- Passed the entrance exam
- Danish A
- English B
- Mathematics A with a minimum average of 4.0
In combination with one of the following requirements:
- Physics B and Chemistry C
- Physics B and Biotechnology A
- Geosciences A and Chemistry C
All applicants who apply on time and meet the entry requirements are guaranteed a study place.

Future possibilities
As a health technology engineer, you get a strong, interdisciplinary and project-based approach to your future job. It can be, for example, as a developer of sustainable technological devices and IT in a company, as a consultant who implements health technology and health IT in the health sector, or you can choose a career as a researcher or entrepreneur.
