Students who complete the module acquire the following:
Learning objectives
Knowledge
- have knowledge of key concepts in the property formation process
- have knowledge of the function and role of the practicing surveyor
- have knowledge of the rules for land surveying activities as well as the land surveyor's professional advisory responsibility and good land surveyor etiquette
- have knowledge of how land surveyors gain access to and use property information, including historical property information
- have knowledge of property development, including financial and technical prerequisites for property formation
- have knowledge of the methods and procedures that form the basis for maintaining the Danish cadastre
- have knowledge of the development of the Danish real estate data collections, including knowledge of the historical development of the cadastre
- have knowledge of insurance matters when operating a land surveyor business in relation to advice, and especially in relation to land surveyor responsibilities
Skills
- be able to access and use the property data collections in the property formation process, including historical property data
- able to take on land surveyor responsibilities and observe good land surveyor etiquette
- be able to provide advice to landowners on the development and use of real estate
Skills
- have an overview of the individual competencies and scope of the land surveyor, the cadastral service and the Land Surveyor Board, including the parties' legal remedies in connection with the land surveyors' work
- able to obtain, analyze and use relevant information about properties for use in cadastral cases
- have a good understanding of practicing surveyors' business operations, tasks, role and responsibilities
- able to reflect on the concept of good land surveyor practice
