Program Overview


Introduction to the History of Art and Technology I Module

The History of Art and Technology I module is designed to introduce students to the history of art and technology, with a special emphasis on prevailing theories and techniques in the areas of art experience and aesthetics.


Content, Progress, and Pedagogy of the Module

This module, in conjunction with History of Art and Technology II, provides students with examples of significant artists, artworks, and historic events in the history of art and technology. Through lectures, workshops, and seminars, students will explore problems related to the description and analysis of artworks.

  • Aesthetic theories within the field of art and technology
  • Central works of selected art periods and genres
