AAU Modules

The AAU Modules provide a comprehensive overview of the university's programs, including the Basic Electronic Systems module.

Basic Electronic Systems

Content, Progress, and Pedagogy of the Module

The Basic Electronic Systems module focuses on simple basic electronic systems, aiming to equip students with knowledge, skills, and competences in this area.

Learning Objectives

  • Knowledge: Students will have knowledge about simple basic electronic systems, understand basic electronic system engineering terms, and comprehend applied methods, theories, and models in electronics engineering.
  • Skills: Students will be able to define and analyze a subject in basic electronic systems, set up solutions to non-complicated electronic system problems, communicate project results coherently, and analyze their personal learning process.
  • Competences: Students will be able to identify problems in basic electronic systems, reflect upon these problems, communicate results during project work, plan and reflect on their experience with project work and problem-solving techniques, and apply methods/theories to analyze an electronic engineering problem.

Type of Instruction

The module involves project work, including supervision, split into two periods: P0 for problem definition and P1 for problem solving. The first period, P0, lasts about 5-6 weeks and includes a problem analysis and formulation for the subject to be dealt with in the P1 part of the project.

Extent and Expected Workload

This is a 15 ECTS project module, with an expected workload of 450 hours for the student.
