University Programs

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Undergraduate Programs

• The Department of Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) – Cyprus Branch invites prospective students to submit an expression of interest for entry to its Greek-taught Undergraduate Programme in Psychology.
  • The programme has a standard duration of eight (8) semesters and leads to the award of a Bachelor's degree.
• The School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) – Cyprus Branch (Nicosia) invites prospective students to submit an expression of interest for entry in 2026 to its Greek-taught Undergraduate Programme in Medicine.
  • The programme has a standard duration of twelve (12) semesters and leads to the award of a Bachelor's degree.
• The Department of Business Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) – Cyprus Branch (Nicosia) invites prospective students to submit an expression of interest for entry in 2026 to its Greek-taught Undergraduate Programme in Business Administration.
  • The programme has a standard duration of eight (8) semesters and leads to the award of a Bachelor's degree.

Postgraduate Programs

• The MSc in Journalism and New Media (Department of Communication and Media Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) offers postgraduate students the opportunity to take on the role of political correspondent in a briefing simulation with Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis.
• The MA programme 'Byzantine World: History and Archaeology' allows postgraduate students to immerse themselves in advanced archaeological approaches.

Research Centers

• The "Resilience Economics and Sustainable Transitions" Centre at the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens has been officially designated as a new International Centre of Excellence (ICoE) of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) Programme cosponsored by the International Science Council and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction.

International Collaborations

• The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens co-organized and took part in the ArcHLABS International Summer School of Archaeology, alongside other Universities across Europe.
• The University participated in an academic working meeting with seven Universities from Europe and Asia as part of the EU-funded LEAN project (Erasmus+).

Facilities

• The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens has taken a major step in advancing its academic programmes at its Cyprus Branch with the official opening of new, state-of-the-art laboratories in Nicosia.
  • These facilities significantly expand the University's physical and educational presence on the island.
