Categories of Graduates Admitted to the Program

The program admits holders of a first-cycle degree from Departments of Health Sciences (Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and School of Nursing Officers of the Armed Forces), as well as equivalent departments of universities in Greece or recognized institutions abroad. Graduates of Nursing Departments and other departments of Health Sciences schools of Technological Educational Institutions (TEI) with relevant knowledge are also admitted.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the program is based on the following criteria:

  • Degree Grade: 20%
  • Average Grade of Undergraduate Courses: 30% (relevant courses will be specified in the announcement)
  • Research Activity: 10%
  • Previous Relevant Work/Clinical Experience: 10% (at least 2 years of work experience is required for full points)
  • Oral Interview: 30%

Evaluation Process

The evaluation process involves a written examination to assess the candidates' knowledge of English and medical terminology. The written examination is corrected by members of the Department of Nursing's faculty, as designated by the Department's Assembly. Only candidates who pass the written examination can proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

The selection of admitted students is based on the above criteria. Candidates who do not achieve a score of 5 (out of 10) are considered unsuccessful and are not admitted to the program, regardless of the number of available positions. In case of a tie, candidates are admitted as extra students.

Program Structure

The program will accept 30 students per academic year and will be taught by at least 60% of the Department of Nursing's faculty members and no more than 40% from other universities and research centers in Greece and abroad. The minimum number of students required for each specialization is 7. If the minimum number of students is not met, the Department's Assembly will decide on the distribution of successful candidates to other specializations, provided there are available positions.
