Introduction to the Gutenberg Academy

The Gutenberg Academy was officially inaugurated on April 29, 2025, as a central institution for early career researchers at the JGU. It serves as a key contact point, taking over tasks such as information management that were previously handled by other entities.

Role and Responsibilities

The Gutenberg Academy functions as a central hub, providing support and resources for early career researchers. Its responsibilities include managing information and overseeing the development of graduate programs.

Development and Support

The development of the Gutenberg Academy was supported by the GKK, which was involved in the concept development for an interdisciplinary graduate institution. The GKK continues to advise on the further development of the academy at the request of the Vice President for Research and Academic Careers.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary objective of the Gutenberg Academy is to provide a comprehensive support system for early career researchers, facilitating their academic and professional growth. It aims to create a conducive environment for research and development, fostering collaboration and innovation among its members.
