Program Overview


Introduction to the Kyoto University of Advanced Science Program

The Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) offers practice-oriented study programs in economics and management. The university attracts young people from over 70 countries, providing them with advanced research, high-level teaching, and cooperation with companies to enable them to recognize and solve global challenges with expertise and a sense of responsibility.


Program Details

The KUAS program is currently under development and is initially open to master's students from Mainz, offering access to MBA-level programs. Partial recognition of credits is possible.


Eligibility and Application

  • Master's students from Mainz are eligible to apply.
  • The application process is managed through the International Office of the Faculty of Economics.
  • Required documents for application include:
    • Resume and motivation letter (in English)
    • English language proficiency proof (e.g., high school diploma)
    • Additional proofs of international experience, extracurricular engagement, etc., if applicable

Financial Aspects

  • Students from partner universities are exempt from tuition fees at KUAS.
  • Travel and living expenses must be covered by the students themselves.
  • Additional financing options are available, such as the PROMOS scholarship.

Application Deadline

  • The application deadline is February 15th for a stay at KUAS starting in September.
