Music - Sound Art Composition (master student certificate)

The Music - Sound Art Composition (Meistersch³lerbrief) program is a postgraduate course of study offered by the Hochschule f³r Musik Mainz.


Program Details

  • Admission requirements:
    • A completed degree in a relevant field (artistic studies in sound art composition or a related field) from a university, music academy, art academy, or equivalent institution in Germany or abroad.

  • Study objective: The program aims to equip students with masterful artistic skills, an independent artistic expression, professional concept and realization development, and the ability to pursue a career as a sound artist/composer in a professional environment.
  • Study structure: The program culminates in a public final examination in the 4th semester.
  • Study content: The program includes courses in sound art composition (sound art/composition) and colloquium sound art composition (colloquium in sound art/composition).
  • Pr³fung: The final examination consists of a public presentation (exhibition, concert, performance, etc.) of an artistic work or project.

Requirements in the aptitude test
