Master of Science Mathematics

The Master's program in Mathematics at Mainz offers great flexibility, allowing students to determine the focus of their studies. In a two-semester in-depth lecture, students are introduced to current research questions and, together with their supervising professor, select a topic for their Master's thesis. Students are advised and supported by their supervisor and the entire working group of postdocs, doctoral students, and fellow students. In addition to mathematical skills, students acquire soft skills such as cooperation, problem-solving, writing, and presentation techniques. Students also have the opportunity to improve their English language skills.
