Overview

The Bachelorseminar Wirtschaftsinformatik is a seminar offered by the Johannes Gutenberg-Universitšt Mainz, led by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Franz Rothlauf. The seminar is designed to introduce students to scientific work in the field of business informatics.

Requirements and Organizational Details

• The deadline for submitting topic preferences is Monday, November 3, 2014, at 12:00 PM.
• Topic assignments will be sent via email on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
• An introduction to scientific work (optional but recommended) will take place on:
  • Wednesday, November 5, 2014, 2:00-4:00 PM, RW 6
  • Monday, November 10, 2014, 2:00-4:00 PM, RW 6
  • Monday, November 17, 2014, 2:15-4:15 PM, RW 6
• The latest date for submitting the exposť is Friday, November 28, 2014.
• Presentation dates are scheduled for:
  • Thursday, January 15, 2015
  • Thursday, January 22, 2015
  • Thursday, January 29, 2015
  • Monday, February 2, 2015, 1:00-3:00 PM, Softwarelabor (01/115), ReWi II Building, left wing.
• The latest start date for the Bachelor's thesis is 4 weeks after the presentation and exposť feedback, or Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
• The Bachelor's thesis must be submitted 8 weeks after its beginning, at the latest by Tuesday, March 31, 2014 (StudienbŁro FB 03, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM).

Additional Information

Current seminar topics and the course schedule can be found in the Download Center (protected area) on the seminar's homepage under the "Bachelorseminar" section. Students can individually or in groups discuss the start of the Bachelorseminar with the lecturer. Once the seminar begins, the submission deadline and the dates for the Bachelor's thesis are determined. The same regulations apply to all Bachelorseminars. Even after the seminar registration phase in Jogustine, seminar places can be allocated after consultation with the lecturer.
