Master of Science in Sport Management
The Master's program in Sport Management is designed to deepen students' knowledge in selected sports, natural, and social science disciplines. Additionally, students acquire knowledge in applied business administration for health companies, service management in sports, corporate management, and resource management.

Admission Requirements
- A first professionally qualifying university degree in Sport Management, Sport Economics, Sport Science, or Economics
- English language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- Applicants with a first degree in sport science must demonstrate additional competencies in business administration or sport management equivalent to 30 credit points.
- Applicants with a first degree in economics must demonstrate sport science competencies equivalent to specific modules of the Bachelor's program in Sport Science at the University of Leipzig or proven equivalent qualifications.
- An aptitude test is required for this program.
Program Content
The program focuses on sport-economic content, including current development trends in sport economics and media and event management in sports. From the first semester, elective modules complement the larger compulsory area, allowing students to choose and combine preferred modules from a wide range of offerings. These modules address either economic aspects or sport science diagnostic methods. The program concludes with a Master's thesis, where students engage with a specific problem in their field and the relevant research background.
