Target Group
The postgraduate program is designed for participants with a university degree in chemistry who wish to further their education in the field of new analytical methods.
Course Content
The program offers a comprehensive overview of the entire field of classical analytical methods, as well as in-depth insights into current research. The following modules are offered as one-week presence courses, consisting of lectures, exercises, and practical sessions:
- Grundlagen der Analytik (Basics of Analytics)
- Atomspektroskopie (Atomic Spectroscopy)
- Molekülspektroskopie (Molecular Spectroscopy)
- Strukturanalytik I (Structural Analysis I)
- Strukturanalytik II (Structural Analysis II)
- Chromatographie (Chromatography)
- Elektroanalytik und Sensorik (Electroanalytics and Sensors)
- Querschnittsdisziplinen (Cross-Sectional Disciplines)
Career Prospects
The development in chemistry is characterized by the increasing introduction of new instrumental measurement and analysis methods, with a particular focus on the use of modern computer technology and the application of microelectronics in device construction. This has led to numerous new analytical possibilities. The requirements for skills in analytics are often higher in practice than can be conveyed during studies. Therefore, graduates of this program are equipped to solve complex problems using modern analytical-chemical methods.
