Digital Humanities M. Sc.
The bilingual Master's program in Digital Humanities will enable you to master the new challenges in the humanities and social sciences in an increasingly digitalized world. You will be able to methodically understand and practically apply the new research paradigms, application tools, and problem-solving techniques in Digital Humanities.

Admission Requirements
- A first qualifying university degree or a degree from a state or state-recognized university of applied sciences in the Bachelor's program Digital Humanities
- Or a degree in a Bachelor's program in another field with the following contents:
- Introductory courses in the field of Digital Humanities with a scope of at least 10 credit points
- Knowledge in the field of practical and/or applied computer science with a scope of at least 40 credit points
- Knowledge in the field of humanities, cultural, and social sciences and/or Digital Humanities (in addition to the required introductory courses) with a scope of at least 20 credit points
- English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or equivalent)
Contents
The Master's program in Digital Humanities follows three focuses: You will deepen your knowledge from the field of computer science (especially in the area of statistical learning and information visualization), in the humanities, and in modules that can be assigned to the field of Digital Humanities and set the larger thematic framework of the study.

The thematic area of Digital Humanities usually determines the topics for the Master's thesis as well. Through the mandatory internship with a scope of at least 10 credit points, the Master's program in Digital Humanities also has a strong practical reference.
Structure of the Study
The study comprises a total of 120 credit points and consists of a mandatory section (45 credit points), an elective section (40 credit points), and a 10 credit point elective section. The completion of the study is the Master's thesis, which is associated with a student workload of 25 credit points and is accompanied by a Master's seminar (5 credit points).
