Program Overview

The M.Sc. Evolutionary Anthropology program is designed for students with a first degree in a relevant field, such as biology, psychology, or biological anthropology.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • A first degree in a relevant field, such as biology, psychology, or biological anthropology, or an equivalent degree that meets the admission requirements specified in section 2.
  • If the degree is not yet completed, applicants must demonstrate that they will complete it by the start of the master's program.
  • Knowledge in at least four of the following areas, demonstrated through module exams and academic achievements with a total of 40 credit points:
    • Genetik
    • Quantitative research methods
    • Bioinformatik
    • Statistik
    • Experimentelle Psychologie
    • Biologische Psychologie
    • Humanbiologie or Tierphysiologie
    • Evolution
    • Primatologie or Verhaltens—kologie or Verhaltensbiologie
    • Entwicklungspsychologie
    • Neurobiologie
    • Molekularbiologie
  • English language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
