Program Overview

The M.Sc. Evolutionary Anthropology program is designed for students with a first degree in a relevant field, such as biology, psychology, or biological anthropology.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A first degree in a relevant field, such as biology, psychology, or biological anthropology, or an equivalent degree that meets the admission requirements specified in section 2.
• If the degree is not yet completed, applicants must demonstrate that they will complete it by the start of the master's program.
• Knowledge in at least four of the following areas, demonstrated through module exams and academic achievements with a total of 40 credit points:
  • Genetik
  • Quantitative research methods
  • Bioinformatik
  • Statistik
  • Experimentelle Psychologie
  • Biologische Psychologie
  • Humanbiologie or Tierphysiologie
  • Evolution
  • Primatologie or Verhaltens—kologie or Verhaltensbiologie
  • Entwicklungspsychologie
  • Neurobiologie
  • Molekularbiologie
• English language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Admission Procedure

The program's specific admission requirements are assessed through an admission examination. This examination is not an on-site test but rather a review of the submitted documents regarding the admission requirements according to the applicable study regulations.
