MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology
The MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology is a master's program that offers students the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in the field of sport and exercise psychology.

Doppelabschlussprogramm
The Double Degree Program is a joint program with the University of Thessaly in Trikala, Greece. Each year, six students from the MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology program are nominated for the program. The selection process takes place during the first semester, and the nomination is based on the students' academic and personal motivation.
- The program allows students to spend their third semester at the University of Thessaly in Trikala, Greece.
- Students who successfully complete the program receive a master's degree from both universities.
Zeitlicher Ablauf des Doppelabschluss-Programms
The timeline for the Double Degree Program is as follows:
1. Semester
The application process for the Double Degree Program takes place during the first semester. Applications are evaluated based on academic and personal motivation.
2. Semester
Students from the University of Thessaly who are nominated for the Double Degree Program come to Leipzig and study their second semester together with students from the University of Leipzig.
3. Semester
Students from the University of Leipzig who are nominated for the Double Degree Program spend their third semester at the University of Thessaly in Trikala, Greece. The workload for the semester abroad is 30 ECTS credits, which are recognized by the University of Leipzig.

- Introduction & Development of Communication Skills (2 ECTS)
- Research Method and Statistics (7 ECTS)
- Psychological Foundations of Sport and Physical Activity (7 ECTS)
- Psychological skills in physical activity and sports (7 ECTS)
- Psychology in physical education and youth sports (7 ECTS)
- Clinical Exercise Psychology: Exercise on prescription for mental health disorders (7 ECTS)
- Quantitative & Qualitative Data Analysis (7 ECTS)
4. Semester
Students in the Double Degree Program return to their home university in Leipzig to complete their master's program according to the study plan.
Selbstorganisiertes Auslandssemester
The University of Leipzig has a global network of partner universities and offers various exchange programs and funding opportunities to support a study abroad semester in Europe or worldwide. The International Office provides information and assistance to students in finding and selecting a suitable program, applying, and recognizing credits earned at the foreign university.
(Auslands-)Praktikum
Students can also gain practical experience through internships, either internationally or in Germany. The university supports these efforts through the accompanying course "Research and Applied Experience". The International Office advises students on all possibilities for financing their international internship.
