Program Overview

The Lang Master's in Leadership blends the flexibility of online learning with engaging in-person experiences, ideal for working professionals. The program spans 18 months, with an immersive on-campus conference, and empowers students to elevate their careers without pausing their lives.

Program Details

• Program Duration: 18 months (delivered online)
• Program Start: Each May, with an immersive on-campus experience at the Lang Grad Conference
• Develop Leadership Competencies: Cultivate the skills and insights to shape leadership identity and accelerate career

Admission Requirements

• Educational Requirements: A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university
• Academic Standing: A minimum B– average in the final two years of the undergraduate degree
• Work Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant work experience

For those who do not meet the above criteria, consideration for admission may still be possible with:

• A three-year degree or diploma from a recognized institution
• A minimum B- average in the final two years of study, or an equivalent professional designation
• At least five years of professional experience in a related field, demonstrating progressive responsibility

English Language Requirements

If an applicant's first language is not English, or their undergraduate degree was not taught at an English-language institution, an English Language Proficiency test will be required. The GMAT/GRE is not required for admission.

Application Deadlines

• Application deadlines for May 2026 admission:
  • January 15: Submission of the online application form
  • February 1: Submission of all required supporting documents

An application fee of $150 CAD is payable to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) directly when submitting the application. This application fee cannot be waived.

Tuition and Fees

Graduate fees, including non-tuition program costs, are listed on the Graduate Tuition and Fees webpage. The cost of the Lang MA Leadership program covers everything needed to successfully complete the program, including tuition, supporting course materials, meals, and accommodation during the annual Lang Grad Conference.

Scholarships and Funding

Entrance Scholarships

• Lang Graduate Executive Programs Entrance Scholarship: Selected recipients will receive $20,000, awarded over three semesters beginning in the summer. Eligibility criteria include demonstrated leadership, academic, and professional excellence.

Canadian Resident Loans

For details on provincial student aid, please contact Student Financial Services for personalized support and guidance. This program is OSAP-eligible.

International Students

International students may research the NAFSA web page for loan options. Students have been successful in obtaining loans through these organizations, specifically if they have a United States resident willing to co-sign with them.

International Students Support

Embarking on the journey to Canada is both exciting and transformative. At Lang, international students are supported every step of the way. The Global Pre-Arrival Support team assists with everything from study permit guidance to settling into campus life.

While the program is full-time, students are not required to maintain full-time residency in Canada to complete their degree. International students should apply for a Visitor's Visa to attend the in-person experiences.
