Program Overview
Program Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Accounting is an intensive program offered only in the summer term, from May to August. Classes run for the full day, Monday to Friday, for the duration of the term. The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program is a full-time graduate program delivered through a combination of online and in-person classes.
Program Structure
The MPAcc program has two possible structures:
- A one-year program of study that runs over 3 semesters, from May to April annually, covering the Summer, Fall, and Winter semesters.
- An accelerated program that runs over 2 semesters, from September to April annually, covering the Fall and Winter semesters.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
- Have a B average (3.0 GPA, 73-76%) in their last two years of full-time study.
- International students must compare their grade equivalency using the provided guide.
- The program is accredited by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), and applicants must meet the additional CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) admission requirements.
- Completion of the required core CPA Preparatory Courses with a grade of 60% or higher in each course.
- A minimum 70% average in the CPA Core Prerequisite Courses.
Language Requirements
If English is not the applicant's first language, they must submit the results of a standardized language test. The test scores must be valid for the start of the program.
Application Deadlines
- For Summer 2026 admission:
- January 15: Submission of the online application form.
- February 1: Submission of all required supporting documents.
- For Fall 2026 admission:
- June 1: Submission of the online application form.
- June 15: Submission of all required supporting documents.
Accreditation
The program is accredited by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario). Applicants must meet the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) admission requirements as outlined in the accreditation agreement.
