Companion and Large Animal Experience

The program provides students with hands-on experience with on-campus companion animal colonies, including dogs, cats, rats, mice, and birds. Students also work with five large animal species on-campus, including dairy, beef, sheep, swine, and equine, giving them a well-rounded veterinary technician skill set.

Industry Placement

The program includes a 6-week industry work placement after the final semester, providing students with practical experience and the opportunity to make industry connections and establish their career as a veterinary technician.
