Hands-on Learning

Master of Engineering Management coursework combines evidence-based management with real-world application to provide specialized training that supports managerial decision-making. In the Engineering Management Capstone course (ENGG*6940), students explore emerging research topics through academic and industry speakers and culminate their learning with a case study simulation, presenting solutions to faculty and industry professionals.

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program requires that students complete nine courses (minimum 4.5 credits) including a final capstone course.

Admissions Information

Applicants must meet the following minimum admission requirements:

• An honours engineering degree with a minimum B- or 70% average in the past four full semesters or the last two complete undergraduate years or the equivalent
• Statement of Interest: Applicants must outline their interest in the Master of Engineering Management degree and state their objectives for undertaking a Master's program in their Statement, 1/2-1 page single-spaced
• Students whose first language is not English are required to submit an English Proficiency Test result with their application
• GMAT/GRE score is not required

Application Opening/Deadline

• Fall semester (September entry): March 15 for international applicants, May 1 for domestic applicants
• Winter semester (January entry): July 1 for international applicants and September 1 for domestic applicants

Scholarships and Funding

The Master of Engineering Management program at the University of Guelph is a self-funded program. Students may be eligible to apply for Graduate Teaching Assistantships.

Select courses are offered in Distance Education format.
