Program Overview
Italian Studies
At the University of Guelph, students can take courses in Italian language through the advanced level, as well as courses in Medieval, Renaissance, and contemporary Italian literature. Students may pursue Italian for various reasons, including an interest in the Arts, such as fine art, music, or literature, or a desire to work with Italian industries, including tourism, fashion, interior or graphic design, or commerce. Some students may be interested in Italian due to family and heritage connections.
Minor Requirements

Study in Italy
Students who have completed two years of language study in Italian, or its equivalent, are eligible to participate in one of the exchange programs. These programs allow students to spend one year abroad while working towards their degree at the University of Guelph.
