The Information Systems (IS) program is designed to help organizations achieve outstanding performance. IS professionals have a dual understanding of business processes and information and communication technologies, making them ideal candidates to deliver cutting-edge solutions to exploit existing and create new business opportunities.
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements vary depending on the applicant's education background. The following options are available:

Work Experience
The Co-op program is an option for BCom students to test out career paths and organizations, build their professional network and resume, and earn money to offset costs. All BCom students will complete Sprott's Employability Passport, a four-year career development program that equips students with the job-ready skills and self-awareness to find meaningful employment and career success.
Career Outcomes
BCom graduates find rewarding careers across a variety of functions and sectors. Sprott offers a range of business career services, including an exclusive job portal, career advising, workshops, and employer events. Based on surveys of graduates, 92 per cent of BCom respondents were employed within one year of graduation.

Sample Courses
BUSI 1401 – Foundations of Information Systems
This course helps students understand the critical role of information systems in organizations and their impact on social and ethical issues. It covers fundamental tools and skills for the development and management of information systems and business analytics in organizations.
BUSI 4404 – IT Infrastructure
This course explores the challenges and issues managers face in assembling the infrastructure for IT service delivery, including IT Service levels, data communications, networks (LAN, MAN, WAN, wireless), internetworking, SOA, web services, SaaS, server and storage virtualization, network security, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
