Program Overview
University Programs
The university offers various programs to support students in their academic and personal growth.
First Year Connections Mentorship Program
The First Year Connections Mentorship program is designed to help first-year students make a successful transition to university life. This is achieved by connecting them with peer mentors who are trained in providing resources and support. Students are paired with an upper-year student in a similar academic program for the first six weeks of the term.
Indigenous Peer Mentorship Program
The Indigenous Peer Mentorship Program provides first-year Indigenous students with social, academic, and cultural development, peer-to-peer support, and activities to support community building and personal growth. The program runs from September to April, and students can be connected with a mentor at any time.
Science Student Success Centre Mentoring Program
The Science Student Success Centre Mentoring program operates year-round, connecting students in the Faculty of Science with upper-year mentors. These mentors work with students on an individual basis or in small groups to help them define and achieve their academic, career, and social goals.
