Program Overview
The postgraduate program in Cardiology is affiliated with the Instituto do Coraįão Edson Saad and the Faculdade de Medicina da UFRJ. The program aims to train professionals at the master's and doctoral levels, with a strong sense of citizenship and humanistic and ethical values, to contribute to the scientific and technological development of the country, maintain and recover the health of the population, and minimize the impact of diseases.
Program Objectives
The program establishes a relationship with the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) to develop research focused on the needs of the population, with an emphasis on cardiovascular health technology assessment and service evaluation, expanding the training field for health professionals, and disseminating scientific and technological knowledge to the population.
