Program Overview
Course Overview
The SupleNutri course, offered by the Instituto de Nutriçăo Josué de Castro at UFRJ, aims to promote knowledge of nutritional supplementation based on scientific and clinical evidence. The course covers various aspects of nutritional supplementation, including its application in clinical practice, sports, and aesthetics.
Target Audience
The course is designed for nutritionists and students of nutrition from the 5th period onwards, registered with the MEC.
Objectives
The primary objective of the course is to update nutrition professionals on the prescription of food supplements.
Course Structure and Content
The course consists of 168 hours and is offered in a live transmission format, with two or three classes per month on Saturdays. The classes are recorded and made available on a digital platform for students to access.
The course covers the following topics:

- Suplementaçăo nutricional para crianças e adolescentes
- Suplementaçăo para o indivíduo vegetariano / vegano e afins
- Integraçăo metabólica e tipos de dietas
- Suplementaçăo para hipertrofia muscular e performance
- Suplementos alimentares aplicados ao atleta
- Suplementaçăo em estética
- Microbiota intestinal e suplementaçăo nutricional na disbiose e enfermidades do trato gastrointestinal e anexos
- Suplementaçăo nutricional nas alergias e intolerâncias alimentares
- Suplementos alimentares no emagrecimento, obesidade e cirurgia bariátrica
- Suplementaçăo nutricional em desnutriçăo e transtornos alimentares e neuropsiquiátricos
- Suplementos alimentares no diabetes, na síndrome metabólica, nas enfermidades cardiovasculares, renais, pulmonares, articulares e no câncer
- Suplementaçăo nutricional para pessoas convivendo com HIV
- Discussăo de casos clínicos
Evaluation
The course includes an evaluation at the end of each semester, which consists of a discussion of clinical cases with the teaching team.
Certification
Upon completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion issued by the Instituto de Nutriçăo Josué de Castro UFRJ, specifying the course load and programming.

Documents Required for Registration
To register for the course, students must provide:
- A photocopy of their diploma in Nutrition or a declaration from the faculty proving that they are regularly enrolled in a Nutrition course at any institution recognized by the MEC
- A photocopy of their identity card
- A photocopy of their CPF
Schedule
The course starts in March 2025 and ends in February 2026, with classes held on Saturdays, approximately every two weeks.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee is R$ 330.00 per month, paid in 10 installments by bank slip. A 10% discount is available for payments made in full. Former students of INJC courses and students who enroll with a friend are eligible for a reduced monthly fee of R$ 297.00.
