The Baccalaureate in Philosophy program is coordinated by the Coordination of Philosophy Courses and overseen by the Academic Guidance and Monitoring Committee (COAA) of Philosophy courses.

Program Structure and Components

• The program is offered by the Department of Philosophy and features a range of teachers (faculty members) who contribute to the curriculum.
• The Pedagogical Project of the Bachelor's Course in Philosophy outlines the program's pedagogical approach, with separate versions for students who entered the program before 2024.2 (updated in 05/2022) and those who entered in 2024.2 or later (updated in 07/2024).
• The program's Curricular Structure of Philosophy Courses is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in philosophy.

Curriculum and Course Offerings

• The program features a variety of disciplines (courses) that are divided into different types.
• Students who entered the program before 2023 have the option to choose a specific course of study.
• The program also includes Complementary Activities and Extension Curricular Activities.
• Additionally, students can participate in Internships (internships), Monograph (TCC, or undergraduate thesis), and the National Student Performance Exam (Enade, a national student performance exam).

Research and Academic Opportunities

• The program offers opportunities for students to engage in research through the Coefficient of Performance (academic performance coefficient) and Monitoria (academic monitoring).
• Students can also participate in Scientific Initiation/PIBIC/CNPq and UFRJ (scientific initiation programs) to develop their research skills.
