Program Overview

Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciaçăo ŕ Docęncia

The Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, specifically the PR1, proposes to develop specific actions in Public Schools of Basic Education as part of the Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciaçăo ŕ Docęncia (PIBID). The program aims to define work plans that contemplate local needs and realities. The project's execution prioritizes collective work, with teams in each school. The Licenciatura courses involved function as elements of irradiation of actions that seek to expand the training of licenciandos and improve the teaching work process.

Objectives and Structure

The program seeks to build a training nucleus around the teacher, so that the teacher, who performs the function of supervisor, becomes a partner in the training process of licenciandos. At the same time, through this partnership, the teacher reflects equally on their pedagogical practice. The importance of this program at UFRJ is amplified by its institutionalization by CONSUNI of the COMPLEXO DE FORMAÇĂO DE PROFESSORES (CFP/UFRJ) in 2018.

Pręmio Paulo Freire 2025

The PIBID UFRJ received the Pręmio Paulo Freire for the work carried out by the scholarship holders of Iniciaçăo ŕ Docęncia Nicole Sones Nunes and Yasmin Cristina dos Santos Tavares Pavuna. The award recognizes the merit of educational actions developed within the scope of the Programa de Bolsa de Iniciaçăo ŕ Docęncia in all regions of Brazil. The awarded work, " 'Eu năo sei o que é': açőes do PIBID/Cięncias/UFRJ diante dos desafios de letramentos na transiçăo escolar," was developed in co-authorship with professors Vanessa Stefano Masquio and Maria Margarida Pereira de Lima Gomes.
