##Program Overview The Postgraduate Program in Psychiatry and Mental Health (PROPSAM) is a postgraduate program focused on Psychiatry and Mental Health. The program aims to expand its scientific production capacity and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field. It stimulates the creation of laboratories and research units that encompass the multiplicity of disciplines in Psychiatry and Mental Health.

Research Areas

The program has 27 laboratories and research units, which serves as a base for research by professors and students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) to develop educational projects. The research findings are applied in the treatment of patients at the Psiquiatria e Saúde Mental do Instituto de Psiquiatria (IPUB) of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
