CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Overview

The course will address the impact on physical activity of the main cardiovascular diseases.

Aims and Content

Learning Outcomes

• Knowledge of the main cardiological pathologies
• Deepening aspects of secondary disability
• Acquisition of a competence of methodological approach to these patients

Aims and Learning Outcomes

• Know the changes in exercise response that occur in the presence of major cardiovascular diseases.
• Know the problems and contraindications to sports activity posed by the main cardiovascular diseases.

Teaching Methods

• Frontal lessons.
• In case of certification of specific learning disability, disability or other special educational needs, please contact both the Department contact person and the lecturer at the beginning of the lectures to agree on teaching and exam methods which, in compliance of the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods and provide suitable compensatory/dispensatory tools recognized by the University SLD Student Service.

• Contraindications to sport due to cardiovascular diseases
• Sudden cardiac death
