About Program

Program Overview

ELEMENTS OF GEOMATICS

Overview

The teaching provides the basic tools necessary for the spatial knowledge of the territory, addressing the main methodologies of detailed surveying (traditional and GNSS) of the built environment and infrastructures to be framed in the territory by means of spatial data management and analysis tools (GIS - Geographic Information System) in the different reference systems. Tools for processing observations will enable the student to carry out critical planning, control, and analysis of measurement campaigns and their spatial framing. The student will thus have first direct contact with the professional operational reality, acquiring skills and sensitivity to interact with technicians and specialists from other sectors, as well as with private citizens. The teaching provides a formative approach to engineering issues in the broadest sense, starting from organizational aspects and ending with the interpretation of the results obtained.
