Overview

This course is an integration of the FIRE SAFETY DESIGN course, focusing on the simulation of active components in a fire scenario, such as smoke detectors and heat and smoke forced extraction systems.


Aims and Content

Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course is to enable students to explore specific details of the Fire Dynamic Simulator software, stimulating their ability to represent, describe, and critically analyze simulation results in the context of the design process.

Students will develop the capability to simulate detection/extinction devices used in software for Fire Dynamic Simulation.


Teaching Methods

The course consists of 100% tutorial activities (9 hours) aimed at improving students' skills in Fire Dynamic Simulations.
