Teaching Materials
Teaching materials are available on AulaWeb.
Overview
The course provides basic tools for spatial knowledge of the territory, including survey methods, reference systems, and technical maps. Statistical methods are used to check the quality of measurement campaigns and analyze results.
Aims and Content
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide basic tools for spatial knowledge of the territory, introducing students to topographic issues, survey methods, and statistical analysis.
Aims and Learning Outcomes
Students will acquire basic tools for land surveying, treatment of observations, and analysis of measurement campaigns.
Teaching Methods
The course consists of lectures (40 hours) and practice (20 hours), including field surveys, instrumental exercises, and numerical exercises.
Syllabus/Content
The course covers:
- Main survey methods (traditional, satellite GNSS/GPS, photogrammetry, remote sensing, and laser scanning)
- Reference systems and coordinate systems
- Traditional survey methodologies (optical level, total station)
- Satellite GNSS/GPS survey methodology
- Elements of observations processing (errors, statistical and random variables, least squares estimation criterion)
- Techniques of metric survey of territory
- Elements of cartography (projections, national cartography, Liguria region cartography)
